Obasanjo Tells Buhari’s Successor What To Do To Calm Youths Down Over 2023 Elections

At a conference titled “From Elections to Governance and Performance” held by Nextier and the Ibadan School of Governance and Public Policy in Abuja, Former President Olusegun Obasanjo expressed the need for the incoming administration to address the ethnic division that resulted from the 2023 general elections.

Obasanjo emphasized the importance of national moral rearmament and reconciliation as a means of healing and assuaging the Nigerian youths who were displeased with the elections.

The former president similarly emphasized on the need for innovative thinking in order to salvage the country’s declining economy and debt burden, and reforms in the public service to make it more capable.

Obasanjo stated that despite his age, he would keep on voicing his concerns for the benefit of the nation.
