The incumbent Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has emerged the winner of Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Nasarawa State.
Professor Tanko Ishaya, the State’s returning officer, declared Sule the winner on Monday morning having polled the highest number of vote in the election.
The incumbent Governor secured about 347,209 votes to defeat Dr. David Emmanuel Ombugadu of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Dr. Emmanuel who is Sule’s closest rival polled 283,016 votes.
