The electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigerian People’s Party, NNPP, the winner of Kano State Governoship election held on Saturday.
He defeated Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC with more than 100,000 votes.
The result was declared in INEC headquarters in Kano by Professor Ahmad Doko, INEC returning officer.
