LP Kwara Guber Candidate Bags Indefinite Suspension

Basambo Abubakar, the gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in Kwara State, has been suspended indefinitely following alleged misconduct and anti-party activities.

Basambo was accused of spreading fake information to the members of the public.

This is coming just few days to the state level elections across Nigeria.

The suspended candidate had recently announced that the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and LP had agreed to join forces ahead of the guber polls, adding that the collaboration of both political parties would usher in a collective dream for a prosperous state.

Speaking to newsmen in the capital city of the state, Ilorin, LP chieftain, Kehinde Rotimi, clarified that the party never entered into any alliance with any political party or governorship candidate whatsoever.

He pointed out that Basambo had no right to make an announcement regarding any agreement with any party in the state ahead of the elections.

Kehinde asked members of the public to ignore the publication by the candidate, adding that candidates of the party for other positions were still in the race.
