A spokesman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, has expressed surprise over the excitement which accompanied the release of some information regarding the alleged drug dealings of the “president-elect”, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the United States of America, by Uberfacts.
The fact-publishing online medium, had earlier tweeted that Tinubu had forfeited about $460,000 to the Government of the United States following a discovery by a court in Chicago that the money was a proceed from trafficking of heroin.
The tweet by the outlet has been trending online, creating more negative reactions against Tinubu’s forthcoming Presidency.
However, responding to the tweet, Onanuga dismissed the information, saying it emanated from a twitter account known for “random tweeting of falsehood”.
He similarly took a swipe at the supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, popularly known as the ‘Obedients’, describing them as the dumbest group on Twitter.
According to him: “I think the dumbest group on global Twitter are Obidiots. They’re so confused that they’re looking for validation from all corners. Knowing that they needed followers from Nigeria, @UberFacts targeted Obidiots (referring to supporters of Obi) with their vague narratives. Trust them, they all jump at it. Jokers!” he wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
“I am surprised that some Nigerians are excited about @UberFacts, a Twitter account, notorious for random tweeting of falsehood and ”the most unimportant things you’ll never need to know”.
