Ezekwesili To Tinubu: God Forbids That You Become Nigeria’s President With What Happened In Lagos On Saturday

Oby Ezekwesili, a former Minister of Education, has condemned the spate of thuggery and violence against voters which characterized the State level polls held in Lagos State on Saturday.

The social media were awashed with video clips and pictures of violence against voters in Lagos by some thugs suspected to be working for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.

Dailygists earlier reported that about 20 men were moving around Agbo-Ola in Orile, Oshodi, Lagos, warning people who had no intention of voting for APC not to come out for the election.

Reacting, the economic policy expert blamed the violence against voters on the “criminal enterprise gang unleashed in Lagos” by the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Ezekwesili said Tinubu intended to scale such gangsterism to other parts of the country if he became Nigeria’s President, but saying God forbid that such should happen.

She made this known in a tweet she posted on her Twitter handle on Saturday.

“The mayhem

and his criminal enterprise gang unleashed in Lagos today against innocent citizens is what he wants to assume the Office of President and scale to the rest of Nigeria in the name of “controlling the Center?”

“Tufia! The God Justice forbids,” she stated.
