Accept Defeat Like Jonathan – Tinubu Tells LP, PDP

The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has called on the Labour Party, LP, and the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to admit defeat just like the former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan did.

He stated this via Dele Alake, his Special Adviser on Media, Public Affairs and strategic communications.

He warned the opposition parties against asking the electoral commission to cancel the process, noting that the electoral process was like pregnancy that could not be terminated when it had got to its full stage.

Alake similarly alleged that the former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, was trying to truncate the country’s electoral process by telling INEC to cancel the election.

He stated that the call by Obasanjo was predicated on unsubstantiated rumours, allegations, and fraud claims by other political parties.

Alake stated this at a Press conference in the Federal Capital Territory on Tuesday as reported by Vanguard

According to him: “You must also be aware of the gang up by the PDP and Labour Party, whose agents walked out of the National Collation Centre in Abuja on Monday. Today, they continued their conspiracy to truncate our 24-year democratic journey by raising unfounded allegations against INEC, casting aspersions on the whole electoral process, forgetting the process had handed them unexpected victories in some states. We have always suspected that Labour Party and PDP are the same, only divided by individual inordinate ambition.”
