The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has appeared in court in Abuja on Wednesday following the refusal of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to permit him to inspect the materials used for the just concluded 2023 presidential election, including the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS.
The court had earlier granted Obi request to inspect the materials, but in a post on his Twitter handle on Wednesday, the former Governor of Anambra state pointed out that INEC refused to allow him to inspect the materials, hence he suspended his campaign schedules for state level candidates to appear in court today with his lawyers.
A number of Nigerian youths accompanied him to the court.
