Video: APC Doesn’t Want To Pay Us – Ikorodu Voters Lament After Selling Votes On Credit

Some voters in Ikorodu area of Lagos State have lamented the refusal of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to pay them for voting for the party and making it almost emerge victorious in the State at the just concluded presidential and National Assembly elections held on February 25.

The group warned that it would boycott the state level elections should the ruling APC fail to pay them their money.

The presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu had secured 50,353 votes to win his closest rival, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, who polled 28,951 in Ikorodu area.

In a trending video, the protesters attributed Tinubu’s victory in the area and in Lagos at large to their efforts.

“Why are they doing the canvassers like this? Our leaders are wicked. We Ikorodu people came out en masse and we are the main reason why APC got so many votes and almost won Peter Obi in Lagos, But we have not been paid yet, we are not going to vote on Saturday if we are not paid our money with immediate effect,” one of them stated.
