I Never Told Anybody I will Die Soon – Says Popular Cleric Odumeje

Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, commonly called Odumeje, a famous cleric based in Anambra state, has refuted rumours making the rounds that he declared he would die soon.

Several reports had flooded the online space, alleging that the clergyman had said he was done with his assignment on earth, hence it was time for him to go the way of all flesh.

“I have called my little son, KingDavid, and I told him that very soon, I your father will leave. You must take care of your brothers and your mother.

“I came to this world for a purpose, and that purpose has been fulfilled. I have finished my earthly ministry, and I will leave soon,” he was quoted as telling his congregation.

Some of the Reporters attributed the decision to his church that was recently demolished by Anambra state government.

However, speaking on the development in a telephone call to the Nation, Amaka Okoye, Odumeje’s aide refuted the reports.

She blamed the viral reports on the activities of character assassinators, adding that the cleric never directed his son to take care of his house.

According to her: “It is not true (that prophet Odumeje said during Church service last Sunday that he will die soon).

“You know that some people when they want to destroy someone’s image, they will write something with your name and put it in a YouTube and say that you said it.

“The prophet never instructed his son, David to take care of his house and that he will die soon.
